  Firstly Rockhampton Real Estate had no problem dishonestly pocketing rent money transferred to their account without a property reference. I was very lucky the bank could confirm the deposit time and date so that the money was rightfully added to my account. However, the fact all concerned at Rockhampton RE had the shear audacity to deny any such deposit existed until I told them I had confirmed with the bank is shameful on there part!

  Whilst living in my rental property Rockhampton RE repeatedly sent the same trades men out that would not fix leaky taps, toilets or air conditioners properly.

  Absolutely woeful to deal with. Dealing with this real estate agency has been the worst, most stressful experience of our lives. We originally signed with another real estate who then left Rocky & we got a letter saying that Rockhampton Real Estate were now looking after the property we were renting. First they claimed they hadn't seen any paperwork from the previous real estate agent (INCLUDING the original copy of our entrance report) and now we are basically being blamed for not getting our bond back as we didn't note our issues on our entrance report ?!?!? We also did not get an exit report to fill out. 8 weeks later we still haven't gotten our bond back and we have had 2 different answers from Jayme-Lee as to why we haven't gotten it back - both indicated that we were to blame, which we weren't! We made a simple request which wasn't followed. What we were told and what was actually done was totally inconsistent. This place doesn't really even deserve 1 whole star :(

  Meaning time and time again nothing got fixed and the property owner would have been repeatedly billed for maintenance that was not correctly performed in the first place. (Making me look like a nuisance tenant)

  The final straw was they performed bathroom renovations where the walls were broken revealing asbestos fibro. I was refused alternate accommodation and both the plumber and Vince Agius tried to convince me that the fibro was safe.

  On one such occasion a plumber came to fix the float in the toilet and used a one dollar tube of super glue to join a plastic arm back together.

  I doubt anyone there has any formal business management training but the "boss man" doesn't care as long as you look good in a tight skirt and have a nice set of legs he'll hire you.

  Finally Jayme-lee said to me "Just give us $200 and we'll go away" Thank goodness I rang the RTA that afternoon I filled the bond refund forms and stopped taking there calls!

  Eventually Rockhampton RE stopped sending repair people out all together when I would complain or insist I was told oh the problem is I didn't fill out a maintenance form and then the wait time would be 6 to 8 weeks in some cases.

  At one stage we had flash flooding and the air conditioner stopped working, after waiting 8 weeks in the middle of summer to have it fixed the apprentice (yes they always sent out the apprentice) he said to me and I quote "I don't know how I fixed it but I did!" Later I was sent a bill for this repair and I had to fight tooth and nail to get the bill ousted because there reasoning was they only got charged a call out fee so nothing was wrong with the air conditioner.

  I also found dealing with this real estate the most stressful experience of my life. My property manager was Jayme-Lee Agius she is the daughter of the owner (Vince) and although she may have a real estate qualification plaque on the wall in the office both her and her father are the biggest idiots in the real estate "world" of Rockhampton.
